Requirements
Secondary Education
A HIGCSE/IGCSE Grade 12, or equivalent qualification, is required for
studies in Namibia (UNAM and Polytechnic), whilst a HIGCSE or outstanding
IGCSE Grade 12, or equivalent qualification, is needed for studies at
South African tertiary-educationfacilities.

Tertiary Education
A person can, without any further studies, start working after school
as a salesperson or trainee manager. If a tertiary qualification is required,
a wide variety of study areas in the commerce field (e.g. B. Com., B.
Econ., B. Admin., National Certificate in Business Studies) can be considered
by the candidate. Some technikons in South Africa also offer diplomas
in Retail Business Management. Practical experience, however, is vital
in this case.
Personality
The prospective branch manager should be a mature person with a sense
of responsibility and good leadership qualities. He/she should be very
motivated, hard-working and willing to work overtime.
